For a Moment..

A Poem

For a moment, I thought that there was no good in this World

For a moment, I felt that there was no peace

For a moment, I just saw the heart-breaking Selfishness and Ego

For a moment, I thought there was no hope; there was no reason to be glee.

For a moment, the entire World felt dark.

I couldn’t see anything.

Only people destroying the planet, the rich making the World poor, animals being dragged for meat, some killed just so that we can have some good ol’ ice cream.

Nothing felt right. What was the point of anything?

There was no fix.

The World could not be healed.

And then, out of nowhere,

There was a bright, blinding, pure, bliss love.

I started to see. I couldn’t believe.

And yet, in a moment, there were positive actions, passion, love, unity, understanding, and belief.

People who still strived to do right, no matter how much the World pulled them back, laughed at them, mocked them, judged them.

They moved on, even when they felt deceived.

The darkness started to fade away.

My tears turned into satisfied glee.

After a long time, there was a hope inside me.

The World is not designed to leave you alone.

Sometimes, it’s our duty just to get out there and seek.

Fight even when the quicksand drowns us knee-deep.

There will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be a hand (or hands) that come to save you from beneath.

So just for a Moment, I hope you realize, YOU WILL SUCCEED.
